Chronology of cameras Graflex
The originality of this very well made camera, which followed the Ciro 35, is the focusing system developed by the two buttons on either side of the lens. Unusual but practical to use because the buttons are well located under the indexes when holding the camera in one hand and aiming . Furthermore, focusing is faster than with a rotating ring as the motion is shorter.
Both of the top views pictures show the buttons depressed and the distance appearing on the dial located directly above the lens. The rangefinder is of the same type as the Bolsey but the window is smaller and less comfortable.
I forgot to mention the trigger located not on the box but on the right hand side of the lens , shaped as a self-timer lever . Unusual, but it also works as the lever is naturally located under the index. Again, this heavy unit generates an impresion of quality and precision, such as Leica , Exakta .
In 1956, the version with the 2.8 lens cost $ 77.50.
